1.by observing that he seemed very fortunate in his patroness.fficeffice" />

How to understand this ? especially the “in”   <pride ande prejudgice> 5

2  Mr. Collins, after assuring them that he bore his young cousin no ill will,

both are not satisfying. But the above one is a bit better.

3.   is plan did not vary on seeing them. -- Miss Bennet's lovely face confirmed his views, and established all his strictest notions of what was due to seniority;

How to understand the red sentence?中文版的翻译是“也使他认定了什么应该由姐妹中居长的所有”对这个翻译的意思殊为不解   “His” refers to Mr Collins, Miss Bannet’s cosin who wants to marry   8

4.She received him with her very best politeness, which he returned with as much more, apologising for his intrusion without any previous acquaintance with her, which he could not help flattering himself, however, might be justified by his relationship to the young ladies who introduced him to her notice.

she refers to Mrs philip, Mrs Bannet’s aunt, he refers to Mr collins, Mrs Bannet’s cousin, 10

Re:qingjiao

3   is plan did not vary on seeing them. -- Miss Bennet's lovely face confirmed his views, and established all his strictest notions of what was due to seniority。 fficeffice" />

4She received him with her very best politeness, which he returned with as much more, apologising for his intrusion without any previous acquaintance with her, which he could not help flattering himself, however, might be justified by his relationship to the young ladies who introduced him to her notice.

是的从结构上看“he could not help flattering himself,……” might be 的先行词仍是“his intrusion without any previous acquaintance with her”这件事,justified在这里指“证明是有理由的”。

she refers to Mrs philip, Mrs Bannet’s aunt, he refers to Mr collins, Mrs Bannet’s cousin, 10
